The Centre for Ideas and The Economy (CITE) led by Professor Joshua Gans will be launched on Wednesday July 9th 2008 at Melbourne Business School, by key-note speaker Preston McAfee.
Preston McAfee is the Vice President and Research Fellow at Yahoo! Research and the J Stanley Johnson Professor of Business, Economics & Management, California Institute of Technology. Professor McAfee will speak about his experiences of economic research and the relevance of research to the Business environment.
The aim of the Centre is to develop and promote new ideas to improve public policy and business practice. CITE will offer a fresh approach and an independent voice to public debate on matters affecting the Economy, drawing on experts from a variety of areas and hosting international visitors to establish and build upon relationships with leaders in their field.
